Etimologia

Il nome del genere è composto dal mwdggreco mwdwmweaμὰντις, mweqmàntis, la mwegmantide religiosa, a causa della forma del primo paio di mwewzampe che ricorda proprio quello della mantide; e dal suffisso mwfa-attus, caratteristico di vari generi della famiglia mwfqSalticidae, un tempo denominata mwfgAttidae.

Distribuzione

Le due specie note di questo genere sono diffuse nel mwgqBorneo e nelle mwggFilippine.cite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1].

A maggio 2010, si compone di due speciecite-ref-salticidae-1-1[1]:
